THE DICEGAME

The participants experience the influence of internal fluctuation ont he output of the proces, work in proces ann utilization of capacity. 

The simulation ca be played in five rounds. In each round the participants, the links in the chain, throw a dice twenty times each.

Round 1:

fluctuation big

Round 2:

control by a manager

Round 3:

fluctuation small

Round 4:

the influence of the bottleneck 

Round 5:

the subordination of the non-bottlenecks to the bottleneck

Each round the rules of the game change. The participants experiece the consequences of the change in relation to the results of output, work in proces and utilizationlevel. . The participants are asked to interprete the figures and to make this simulation concrete to their own jobs and departments. Many times they are highly surprised.
